Marta is the owner of Alchemy Salon & Beautique, a Master Hair Stylist and Hair Color Specialist with 22 years of experience. She serves as the Certification Development and Education Liaison for the Board of Certified Haircolorists (BCH), a national, federally recognized organization created to set qualified haircolor professionals apart, elevating standards of education, professionalism, and credibility in the industry. Every client who visits Alchemy benefits from Marta’s deep expertise and dedication to her craft.
Passionate about lifelong learning, Marta continuously seeks opportunities to grow while mentoring the next generation of stylists. She believes that sharing knowledge is the key to raising the educational bar in the beauty industry. In 2023, Marta played a pivotal role in helping pass Apprenticeship legislation through the state of Indiana—an achievement that created new pathways for aspiring stylists. As a direct result, Alchemy now houses the first Apprentice-to-License program in the state, giving future professionals the opportunity to train and grow under expert mentorship and allows them to follow a path to licensure without incurring school debt.
Over her career, Marta spent time as a hair color educator, working with salons across the Midwest to teach advanced techniques and inspire fellow artists. Marta is also a certified Great Lengths Extensionist and has honed her precision cutting skills at the Vidal Sassoon Academy. Her professional journey has taken her from California to New York and many destinations in between.
Outside of the salon, Marta enjoys time with her husband and their three cats. A lover of travel and adventure, she is known among friends for crafting unique, off-the-beaten-path itineraries filled with hidden hikes, stunning photography spots, and cultural discoveries. At home, she delights in perfecting her cooking skills and hosting cozy dinner parties for close friends.
Marta founded Alchemy in 2017 when all the right pieces came together at exactly the right time. Inspired by Paulo Coelho’s *The Alchemist* and its themes of transformation, she chose the name to reflect the salon’s mission: to create a space where women can transform inside and out. She remains deeply committed to nurturing both the business and her team of talented women, united in their goal of giving every client a place to truly “let their hair down.”
